This centre is a production unit of V-star industries Ltd. This was started to give employment to the poor umemployed girls of the locality. The centre was established on 11th February 2011 with 30 girls of the locality on the first floor of the convent building. Later it was found that the first floor was not spacious enough to instal 25 sewing machines, cutting tables, and other equipments. Hence a spacious building was built in the compound of the convent. The new building was blessed and inaugurated by His Excellency Mar George Rajendan, the bishop of Thuckalay on 8th May 2014. This was followed my a meeting. Rev. Fathers of the Diocese of Thuckalay, Sisters of San Joe Province, the officers of V. Star Industries were present on the occasion. His Excellency Mar George Rajendran congratulated Sr. Celia the Provincial Superior and her council for starting a social centre for the empowerment of the women of the locality and he expressed his gratitude to the F.C.C. sisters for their dedication and good will. Sr. Tresa Jose, the secretary of the centre expressed thanks to His Excellency, Provincial team, officer's of the V. Star Industries and all those who were present. The meeting was followed by agape.
